Begin by getting to know a little about Rocío, her career so far, some of her most notable collaborations, and her new venture: The Make Group, her own digital agency where she applies everything she's learned in her work with big clients and start-ups. Rocío also shares a few of her references within the e-commerce, web design, and user experience sectors.

First thing’s first, set up your account on Shopify and take a tour of the platform's interface. Discover how to choose a design template for your shop, considering the type of product you're selling and the industry it belongs to, and learn to edit it and adapt it to your needs.

Then explore how to create simple products with a range of customizable characteristics, such as size and color, before selecting categories. Rocío teaches you how to manage your product line and gives you some advice for increasing your visibility during the customer journey.

Move on to create content pages and blogs within your store and complete the About Us, Cookies, Terms and Conditions, and Customer Services sections. Learn to manage your blog alongside the everyday workings of the store itself, taking into account Google Trends and SEO basics.

Now turn your attention to creating navigation menus⁠—a main menu as well as one for the footer⁠—ensuring that they're adapted to mobile devices and their peculiarities.

Explore the payment gateway with help from services like Amazon Pay, PayPal, or Shopify Payments. See how to configure Shopify to calculate taxes on regular sales depending on your country. Then set up automatic pricing for delivery costs along with both email and SMS notifications.

Get the most out of your store by synchronizing certain sales channels like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and more. Rocío also shows you how to use external applications to add extra functions to your store like reviews and live chats, among others.

Dive into your data, accessing reports and store statistics, and familiarize yourself with which points you need to monitor. Learn to use Shopify's built-in features to track your store's progress, as well as Google Analytics for reports on the platform itself.
