What is this course's project?

Students will create a series of three A3-sized illustrations, prepared for risograph printing in one, two, and three inks. They will learn to manage color, textures, and composition to achieve unique pieces in each creative project.

Requirements and materials

Basic Photoshop is required, intermediate level recommended. Both Procreate and Photoshop can be used; the steps are similar. A willingness to experiment creatively is key. Digital and physical materials for textures and colors will enrich the learning experience.

One of her first major challenges was The Honest Art Dictionary, which allowed her to explore the technical limits of print illustration and consolidate her experience in editorial collaboration.

Her approach combines digital with analog processes such as risography, a printing technique that gives her images an aesthetic reminiscent of craftsmanship and the graphics of the 1980s. With a style that emphasizes humor and message, Carmen views illustration as a tool for communication and reflection capable of connecting with diverse audiences.
