About the final project for: Creative Nonfiction: Write from Life

Creative Nonfiction: Write from Life

“Thank you so much for taking part in this course and I hope you've enjoyed it. It's now time to work on your project. This could mean finishing the piece you started by completing the course tasks or making a brand-new project! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell us if you have any doubts. This will help me guide you better if you need advice. Here are the main steps to follow: The Muse Find a story either in an object or a photograph or a memory provoked by the exercises I set you.

Write down everything you know about this object/situation/memory in your notebook. Background Research Do some research! Find out some facts and information that you didn't know about your subject/situation.
The Story Write your story and try to decide where the most dramatic part occurs.
Editing and Refining Edit your story. Try to stick to the word count. How much can you say in 1000 words? You might find you have plenty left over for another story.
And that's all! I can't wait to see what you've come up with. You can share your work with us so by clicking on 'Create your project'. Remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to them. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I will be more than happy to answer any of the questions you might have along the way! I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, participate in the forum, comment on others' work, and interact with the community. See you there! ”

“Final Project Thank you very much for doing the course. I hope you've enjoyed it. Don't forget to upload your final project, your exercises and reflections. I'll check in and read some of the work that you've uploaded. Do read each other's work, comment on it and reflect on the things that you've been reading. One of the ways to improve as a writer is by reading each other and writing lots. We started the course with paying attention. Then, we moved on to thinking about developing your voice and working with memory. Then, we thought about the situation and the story, and then about going ou...”
