About the final project for: Paper pulp objects

Paper Pulp Objects

“Thank you so much for taking part in this course and I hope you've enjoyed it. It's now time to work on your project. This could mean finishing the vase you started by completing the course tasks or making a brand-new project! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell us if you have any doubts. This will help me guide you better if you need advice. Here are some final tips to guide you on your journey: The Mould Choose a proper mould(s) for your project and prepare it with Vaseline or cling film.

The Paper Pulp Make paper pulp by mixing shredded paper and twice as much hot water with a hand blender. Squeeze out the water with a kitchen towel. Then, add the glue and mix with your hands until you reach a pizza dough consistency. Moulding the Vase Carefully cover your mould with paper pulp dough using your fingers and a piece of dishcloth. Add the details as you like and let it dry for a few days.
The Final Touches Once it's completely dried, mark the horizontal and vertical lines using a Dremel to cut the piece. Last, gently release your pieces and reassemble them using glue, then cover the lines with some more paper pulp and let them dry.
I can't wait to see what you've come up with. You can share your work with us so by clicking on 'Create your project'. Remember to share both the final results and the steps that have led you to them. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I will be more than happy to answer any of the questions you might have along the way! I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, participate in the forum, comment on others' work, and interact with the community. See you there!”
