About the video: How to Transfer the Design and Paint on Fabric

Overview

“There are a lot of different techniques that you can use to transfer your design and paint on textiles. I will show my two favorite ones: creating a stencil with transparent paper and drawing directly on fabric. If you're not comfortable with either of them, I left a couple more options in the Additional Resources section of this unit. Be aware that before getting started with this step, make sure the piece of fabric you're using for your practice is washed and ironed. It would be ideal to have one of 100% cotton. In this video lesson Polina Oshu addresses the topic: How to Transfer the Design and Paint on Fabric, which is part of the Domestika online course: Embroidery and Fabric Painting for Beginners. Use colorful markers and embroidery threads to create garments and decorations that express your personality.
