Diana Varma is a writer, educator, and podcaster. She started her career in the printing industry, but always knew she wanted to teach. Since earning an MA in communication and technology, she’s been sharing her knowledge as a lecturer at the Toronto Metropolitan University. Her passion is helping students connect their technical left brains with their creative right brains for fulfilling careers in creative industries.
In her free time, Diana writes, produces, and hosts the podcast Talk Paper Scissors, where she explores topics ranging from design and branding to typography and printing. She’s also written more than 150 articles on these subjects for Graphic Arts Magazine. Diana is a member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers and, in 2019, won a Dean’s teaching award for her lectures.
