About the final project for: Design Thinking for Project Management

Design Thinking for Project Management

“!! Congratulations!! You have now reached the last unit. Thank you very much for having participated in this course. I hope you have been able to integrate the design thinking methodology into your way of working and that it helps you solve problems and design products, services or businesses through relevant and innovative solutions and, above all, putting people at the center. Throughout the course you have been developing your case study step by step, performing each of the proposed tasks. To present the course project, share your work in the form of a report that exposes the problem, the users or target audience, the solutions and the result of the validation. Also share your design process, your reflections and the next steps of the project. As a reference you can use the Workbook sheets that you have been completing. Below, I have summarized the essential points of the process that will serve as a guide to carry out your project. Remember that you can use as an example the presentation of the practical case that I have created for the course and that you will find in the attached resources of the previous unit. The challenge Choose your challenge and your objectives. If possible, create a multidisciplinary work team. Remember that design thinking is collaborative.

The workspace Find a space for your mural. Prepare this workspace, always leaving your challenge and the principles of design thinking visible so that they guide and inspire you. On the opposite side, create the "parking lot" to collect there what you want to remember, for example, ideas for solutions, tasks or other questions. The process Do the activities in the Workbook. You will see that they include instructions and, sometimes, some advice. Do not forget that it is essential to know your future customers or users and talk to them. Reflection After each unit, spend some time reflecting (if you have a team, do it together). Review the goal you set for yourself, the challenge or the brief as you progress through the different phases and update the information if necessary. The next steps At the end, based on the results achieved with your prototype, you will have learned if your solution works or not and you will be able to decide what to do next.
When you have completed your report, share it on the forum by clicking on "Create your project". I really want to see your work! Remember that nothing happens if the proposed solution does not work out the first time. One of the most important principles of design thinking is to iterate and review until you come up with a solution that really makes sense. Finally, I want to encourage you to participate in the forum: exchange ideas, doubts and knowledge with your colleagues, share your progress and ask questions about the process if you need it. I will be there as often as possible to give you advice and feedback. Enjoy the process and see you soon!”
