“ Points of View In this lesson, we'll discuss points of view. It is not as simple or as obvious as you might think. There are many grammatical points of view, and that's true. Mostly a fiction writer will use the first person and the third person. The second person can be used occasionally, if you write a letter. You can start a novel saying, "Dear John," and you're using the second person but it's rare.
