“Glazing for the raw firing In the last lesson I showed you how to pack the figure for transport to the ceramist. In this lesson I will show you how to glaze the unfired figure. This figurine is now raw fired and it survived the oven, thank goodness, because we're burning have observed the firing temperature of the clay and have hollowed out the figure well and paid close attention to the wall thickness. I have to clear the figure of dust now, so that the glaze adheres well to the fired clay. I do this best with a normal cloth. The cloth may be dry and simply sweep over the entire figure. As...”
