Amazing course which was well presented. Every step was explained in detail and easy to understand. Looking forward to start doing my own frames.

Seemed very clear, but too much time spent on easy aspects, not enough on harder ones, eg glass cutting. I needed advice on which type of cutter to buy; the one I got wasn’t at all easy to use. I would have liked to know how to make bevelled mounts.

The course is very detailed and exact. A plus for the in detail descriptions and thorough instructions. A small minus that each step is a bit too long, we don't need to watch instructor paint all 4 sides, all 3 colors.... Also with the sanding it was a long time doing the same for each corner. But all in all, very good.

A good starters course.
Positive's
Decorated spacer bars
Masking tape for clamping
Colour choices
Pin securing over V nails
Negative's
Incorrect use of Bradawl.
None mitering of spacer bars.
I was surprised that Anika wasn't wearing safety glasses to cut the glass, especially as she wears a mask to sand MDF, and rightly so.
I would certainly recommend the course to others.
Plus I would have added more detail if poss.

I found this an excellent course on the elements and application of techniques for framing small projects. It is well paced and clear. Annika is also stressing the best practise for ensuring the preservation of the artwork. I look forward to sourcing the tapes and materials she uses to ensure the health and longevity of my work.

As a course on the rudiments, terminology and the tools necessary for creating simple custom-made frames, Annika McSeveny brings succinct teaching, great advice and a gentle manner. Creatives will be encouraged to bring their own tastes and personalities into the process of highlighting their art in yet another artistic manner. One can do much without power tools, and may build confidence in the process.
