By admiring The Very Rich Hours of the Duke of Berry from the year 1409, and with the letter models of the great German calligrapher Rudolf Koch (1876-1934), explore all the possibilities of the Gothic fonts, touching on expression, gesture, delicacy, strength, and power. Work with different tools, from traditional metal nibs to homemade pens that you will make yourself, to create the logo for a beer label.

Oriol Miró Genovart (did you spot the "OMG"?) has been a professional calligrapher since 1994. He was first introduced to calligraphy while studying graphic design, and it immediately fascinated him. He spent hours and hours working, looking for the perfect counterforms and immaculate spaces. Since then, his obsession with letters, spacing, pens and brushes of all kinds, paper, and inks has never waned.
His work combines professional assignments with teaching, having held the title of professor at the Elisava School (UPF) in Barcelona since 1995. He also teaches at other universities, schools, and in master's and postgraduate programs. Since 2009, he has been running his own intensive calligraphy workshops near Girona, twice a year.

fascinating class!
Muy buen curso y muy completo, se aprende a hacer góticas si eres principante. Lamentable que no haya hecho todas las mayúsculas pues son las letras más difíciles. Es un problema de Domestika que cuando algo se empieza a complicar, dejan el contenido a medias. La edición de sonido muy mal, oir esa música durante 3 horas es bastante estresante, y la música nunca se pone al mismo nivel de la voz. Sería bueno que consideraran poner la opción de apagar la música de los cursos, distrae mucho.
