Modern Mosaic Art: Make Floral Compositions with Tiles

Briony Machin is a Lancashire-based artist specializing in ceramics, mosaic, and illustration, with over 100K followers on social media. After graduating in design crafts, she worked part-time for a gallery where she held her first workshop. Two years later, they had become so popular that she was able to quit her job. The sale of her DIY mosaic kits during the pandemic was eventually what allowed her to open her dream studio in August 2020, where she sells handmade products as well as teaching workshops.

With her experimental pieces, often featuring flowers and inspiring messages, Briony’s aim is to bring a little hope and joy to the world. She has collaborated with brands on Instagram such as Topps Tiles and Elizabeth Scarlett, and her digital illustrations have been printed on a range of homeware items including wrapping paper and aprons. She also runs an outreach program to integrate the art of mosaic into local schools and the wider community.
