Thanks to innovative programs like Cinema 4D and CLO 3D, designer Max Salzborn can recreate ideas from his imagination without worrying about practical or functional restraints, while also adding a wealth of detail to his pieces to give them a hyperrealistic look. In this online course, he teaches you how to create digital fashion, from the first brainstorming session to the final render.
Learn the fundamentals of design in a virtual environment and how to transpose your ideas onto the screen. Max shows you how to turn a sketch into a digital pattern and then model it into a realistic object with volume, texture, and structure. Ready to make your debut in digital fashion?

FPFP Final project
Meet your teacher for the course, Max Salzborn. He tells you a bit about himself, his career, and the influences that inspire his work.
Begin by searching for inspiration and compiling your ideas into a mood board before sketching them out in Procreate or another drawing program. Then get a detailed introduction to CLO 3D from Max, who shows you how to navigate the interface as well as create patterns, sew fabrics, unstitch seams, and animate your design.
Now you're ready to put together your handbag in CLO 3D, following your digital pattern. See how to add realistic details, create volume, and apply texture using UV maps. Put the finishing touches on your bag by drawing some decorative elements and prepare your file for export.
Move on to Cinema 4D to craft your scene and create the ideal lighting setup. Max also shows you how to mix and match materials and textures for your piece in Redshift and give your image a realistic look for the final render.
Wrap up the course with post-production process, enriching your image with contrasts, and get some tips on how to showcase your work on social media.
What is this course's project?
Design a handbag or purse as a 3D illustration, from the first sketch to the finished model in CLO 3D and Cinema 4D.
