“The Screen: Exposure In this lesson, we'll show you how to expose your prepared screen. You can buy exposure units, which do everything for you. YUK FUN is an independent label run by designers Lucy Cheung and Patrick Gildersleeves in Brighton, England. They met while studying the same art and design course at university but, after graduating, both pursued their careers independently. Lucy focused on art, while Patrick was more interested in illustration until Patrick was commissioned by a children’s clothing company and the two of them had the idea to create their own clothing. Lucy and Patrick went on to start YUK FUN in 2014 and, after having problems with the quality of external printers, began screen printing in-house.

Since then, they have printed their designs on t-shirts, tote bags, sweatshirts, and more. Their work has been featured in publications such as Pressing Matters, Hand Printed, and It’s Nice That, and they were invited to speak and exhibit at Pictoplasma. Alongside screen printing, Lucy and Patrick work on illustration for commissions and have collaborated with brands including Linktree, the V&A Museum, and Casetify.
