About the final project for: Typography Design: Digitize Your Handwriting

Typography Design: Digitize Your Handwriting

“You have reached the end of the course! Thank you very much for trusting me. I hope you have learned a lot and enjoyed exploring the world of fonts as much as I have. Before we say goodbye, let's review the key phases of the project. I would like you to briefly explain what you have done in each one and accompany the explanation with one or more images. Here are the steps you need to follow to complete your course project: Preparation and practice Gather the necessary materials that you will need and practice with calligraphy exercises to define your letter.

Handwriting Choose the text you want and write it by hand with your own handwriting. You can do several tests and choose the best of them all.
Digitization Turn your handwritten letters into vector drawings with the help of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Then, using Fontself, create your typography taking into account the ligatures, the spaces and the rest of the elements that we have seen in the course. Image for your project As the final step of the project, I invite you to make an image in .jpeg format with square (1080 by 1080 pixels) or vertical (1080 by 1350 pixels) dimensions. In it, tell us, obviously using your new typography, what your font is called, why it is called that, what applications you think it can be used for and anything else that will help us better understand your project. You can add drawings or photos, but the idea is that your letters have the leading role. Think that this image can serve as promotional material so that people know you and your source, so do not forget to include your name and, if you like, mention your social networks. Add all the characters your font contains! Use words where you can show off your ligatures or alternate glyphs. A single image is perfect, but you can do more if you find it necessary.
Now share your project with the community by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to it. I'd love to see your results. If you feel like it, also publish the image on your networks. Don't forget to tag me! I'm looking forward to seeing your project and giving you feedback! I will try to access the forum as much as I can and what my professional projects allow me, so I ask for your patience. Finally, I want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, not only sharing your progress, but also giving advice and trying to help the rest of the community. This way you will learn twice as much! See you soon! ”

“Final project We are done. I thank you very much that you have accompanied me throughout all the lessons and that I have been able to share a bit of my passion for typography with you. It only remains for me to invite you to develop your final project. You can of course use the font for whatever you want. And I recommend that you do so that you can try it and feel comfortable with it. Write letters, keep a diary, make images for your social networks, make invitations for your social events, personalize your child's notebooks... what you want. If you think that it is already mature enough, y...”
