These are interesting courses that help me understand myself through photography as a form of self-reflection. Visual anthropology guides me in constructing a narrative not only for the photographs but also for the entire context.

Interesting course

It's a very well presented course especially the audio-video quality, really enjoyable. The course also gives valuable insights of how to conduct a visual anthropology research. However, I really want to know the analytical process and the research results as the end product. I see the example of the final report here, but I could not see the final research results. For example what did the researcher find out about beauty? It will be more helpful to understand the whole course. Thank you.

There are interesting takeaways in this course, like how to explore a theme visually, how to keep some visual consistency in mind when doing the research, but overall I found the course abstract and needing more practical examples (especially in Unit 2) and specific how to, that guide the student in the process. It is good for people who have not been exposed to visual research and anthropology before. Ethics and safeguarding issues could also be addressed. Not fully applicable in Europe.
