“My sources of inspiration In this lesson, I'm going to tell you what inspires me. There are three major artists: Frida Kahlo, Matisse and Le Douanier Rousseau and I wanted to show you some of their works which inspire me enormously. To start with Matisse, I really appreciate his work, notably his use of colors, particularly primary colors. I really like paper cutouts, notably the way in which he thinks of forms as raw forms, which allows you to develop your imagination. I also appreciate its play of lights, shapes, superpositions of colors which he made only with scissors. These simple shap...”
