As for materials, you need a pencil and paper, an iPad and Apple Pencil (any tablet and stylus will do), and a computer with Photoshop. The Astropad app is also recommended if you’re using an iPad.

Mojo Wang is a self-taught illustrator from China who is currently based in New York City. He started his career as a freelancer before working as a photo editor at ELLEMEN magazine in China. Yearning for more, he moved to New York to study a fine arts masters at SVA, where he redefined his style and learned the value of storytelling through images. Since then, he’s continued to hone his skills and experiment with techniques to grow as an artist, while striking a balance between making a living and enjoying his craft.

The bold colors, sharp linework, and engaging messages in his illustrations have led him to work with major brands like Nike and Kiehl's, as well as a variety of magazines including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Economist, Billboard Magazine, WIRED, and The Wall Street Journal. He has also received multiple awards from the Society of Illustrators and the AI-AP.
