Keep in mind that if you don't have all the materials and you only have pencils or charcoal with normal sketchbook paper, don't worry; you can still work with them. I've simply brought a whole range of materials so you see how you can use each one. That said, it's best to have a wide range of materials because you can achieve much more variety in your strokes.
