A course by Juan Barbé , Paper Engineer
About the video: Preparation of the plant
Overview
“Once the plant is dry, we clean it of bark (in the case of trees and shrubs), earth remains, etc. In almost all cases we must prepare the vegetable so that its cooking is as easy as possible. For this we will cut the plant into pieces of about 3 cm (except the Liberian fibers of trees and shrubs) and we will soak them for 12 hours. We are going to see a very practical case with the plant that we will use in the rest of the course: the Enea plant.”
In this video lesson Juan Barbé addresses the topic: Preparation of the plant, which is part of the Domestika online course: Artisanal Paper Elaboration. Learn to create handmade paper using plant fibers.
