About the final project for: Screenplay Fundamentals: Build Story Structures

Screenplay Fundamentals: Build Story Structures

“Well done! You have reached the end of this Domestika course. Thank you so much for taking part and I hope you've enjoyed delving into the world of narrative foundations. Before saying goodbye, let's recap the necessary steps to complete your project: The Basic Elements Identify the foundation elements of your story: the protagonist, goal, opposition, and stakes.

The Protagonist Define your protagonist’s character arc. Remember to consider very carefully the overarching change that the character will experience in the story.
The Logline Write a one-sentence synopsis for your story, also known as the logline. This brief has to describe the central conflict of your story and be very concise.
The First Draft Write the first draft of your one to two-page story synopsis. This is when your ideas first hit the paper. Don't feel too much pressure to master all aspects of the screenplay in this initial attempt.
The Final Touches Lastly, edit and polish the piece to enhance the flow and add entertainment appeal.
And that's all! Thank you so much for taking part. I can't wait to see your work! You can share your project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project." Remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I will try my best to engage with the forum as much as possible. If you have any questions, be sure to ask them! I will reply as soon as I can, but in the meantime, I encourage you to interact with each other. Communication fuels creativity. So, don't be afraid to reach out and collaborate with others. But most of all, have fun! See you in the forum!”

I hope you've had fun and been able to expand your understanding of screenwriting as well as picked up some new skills for writing and selling your work. I'm excited for you to begin filmmaking and continue to develop your own film projects. Remember this is a process and not always a linear one. There will be trial and error. Whenever you're trying something new, it can feel awkward or intimidating, but my best advice to you is to keep writing and rewriting. You learn more from seeing one projec...”
