About the final project for: Upcycling: Transform your Clothes
Colorful handmade crochet clothes
“I want to thank you for embarking and accompanying me on this adventure! In my professional practice, I really enjoy sharing creative experiences with other people and sharing techniques that can enhance our artistic work. Keep in mind that each artist must know their process and define how they prefer to work, considering not only their skills but also the availability of materials when starting. To help organize the preparation of your project, I selected some steps that I consider essential: • Carry out the projection exercise using a series of simple questions that will help you make the aesthetic decisions that will shape the piece. • Choose the piece to be customized, preferably with what you have at home and made of flat fabric (in this case, the model was a jacket). • Make the cuts: sleeves and length. Remember that nothing should be discarded, as everything will be used. • Create the fringes with a combination of scraps and chosen materials. • Make and sew the pompoms. • Finish the piece. It is important to remember that your piece does not need to be the same as the final course product. The techniques applied here, for example, can be combined in different ways and executed on different pieces such as pants, skirts, bags, t-shirts, shirts and even shoes. The most important thing is to respect the desire to create and allow yourself to experiment while playing!
