About the final project for: Translucent Portrait Photography

Photographic portrait through translucent surfaces

“We have reached the end of this journey, now is the time to get involved! Follow these basic steps to complete your project. I invite you not to just copy my example, but to experiment and invent something new. Draw the portrait you would like to create. No matter the technique and the precision: it represents the color of the backdrop, the outfit and the makeup of the subject.

Look for the material you need to make the photo. Organize the photographic set, you could also help yourself by designing your set.
Prepare your matte panel as I showed you and start taking pictures with this mode.
Then, try taking photos after wetting the transparent panel; you can use whatever you see fit to do it.
Now take the pictures after choosing a material (amaze me!) To apply to the surface of the panel that can create a particular dialogue with those who are beyond the plexiglass.
Edit the photos taken and choose a photo for each step (scratched panel, wet panel, panel with application). At this point, create your triptych. Now share your project on the forum! Show everyone both the final result and the processing steps, documenting each step with an image and describing what you did with a brief explanation. As soon as possible, I will be happy to comment on your work. Watch colleagues' projects and encourage them by commenting on what they have shared - don't miss the precious opportunity to interact with the creative community. If you wish, post your work on Instagram or on a social network you usually use, remembering to tag Domestika and Giuseppe Gradella. Thanks again for making this journey with me!”

If the course really worked, now you will feel inspired to create personal and original works. I have been an architect always used to observing the world around me, but my real passion turned out to be photography. After many years and many experiences, I found my way and my method, which is what I wanted to tell. For your final project, in fact, you will create a triptych of photos using semi-transparent surfaces. You will place these panels between you and the sub...”
