About the final project for: Interior Mural Painting

murals

“We have reached the end of the course! Thank you very much for accompanying me. I hope my lessons and tips will help you when creating your own characters. Do not forget that each project is unique and that what we saw in this course is a base that you can use to develop your own style. Below I have briefly summarized the most important steps to follow to make and share your project: Space selection Choose the wall that you are going to intervene and clear the area so that you can work without obstructions. Observe the space and identify what could work best according to the light, the furniture and the atmosphere that you want to generate to get the best out of the place.

Elaborate design Have the idea ready. It is not necessary that you have 100% defined what you are going to paint, but a general idea to start with and that can be transformed as you work.
Chromatic choice Define the color palette that you are going to use and prepare the wall with white or light gray if necessary. It is also important that you consider if the wall has texture or objects that make it difficult to carry out the mural.
Preparation of materials Have all the materials ready to start painting the mural: brushes, brushes, bucket for water, protective plastic or cardboard, masking tape, spatula, gloves, paints, pots to mix colors and the clothes you will use to work. Separate a "dirty" area where you can always have your materials at hand and keep the rest of the area clear so you can move freely.
Let's get to work! Remember that we will work by layers and by sectors, starting with the most general and then ending with the details. Begin drawing with light-colored, well-thinned paint for the first few strokes. I recommend you record the process with photos or a video. Have fun while you create your mural and share it in the forum telling how you felt and your appreciations about the process. Each experience and result is personal and by sharing it with others we can also learn and nurture each other.
Once finished, share your project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the result and the steps that have led you to it. It would be great if you could show an image of each phase and add a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I also want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, both sharing your progress and asking questions or giving advice and trying to help the rest of the community. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress! I will try to visit the forum as often as possible, but please be patient because there will be times when I have professional commitments and it will take me a while to respond. See you soon!”
