About the final project for: 3D Font Design with a Metallic Finish

Make 3D fonts with a metallic finish

“We've reached the end of this course! I hope it has given you enough tools to keep experimenting with letters. Below I'll give you a rundown of what you need to do to complete your project. Search for references To start, it is always a good idea to look for references and create a mood board that makes you happy, with colors, textures and composition. All of this will help you find a style that you can enhance in Cinema 4D.

The word or phrase Choose a word or phrase you want to model, sketch as many times as necessary and define the style. Make the sketch a little bigger so that vectorizing is much easier. The more sketches you make, the more you will learn. At the beginning I recommend using a word with few letters so that you will learn the technique more easily.
Vectorize Once you have the sketch on paper or on your iPad, take a photo or scan it. Then save it to your computer and start vectorizing in Illustrator.
Modeling Once you have your lettering or vectorized letters, it's time to play around in Cinema 4D. Choose the style you want; you can also mix the three styles you've learned. It's time to make magic and let your imagination run wild. Experiment with textures, lighting and, why not, other techniques too. Remember that you are free to create your own style. Don't limit yourself and start creating!
Render and final touches Finally, render. In the previous unit I set the stage for you to use the render settings to bring your projects to life. To improve the colors, adjust the saturation, brightness, and contrast in Photoshop.
When your projects are ready, share them on the forum so we can see them, comment on them and learn from each other. To do this, simply click on the "Create your project" button. Remember to share both the final result and the steps you followed, adding a brief explanation. And don't forget to share your exercises. Remember that feedback allows us to grow and you can also inspire others with your art. I can't wait to see what you achieve with what you've learned! I'll be on the forum to answer all your questions. If you post your projects on Instagram, you can also tag me. Thank you for taking this course and for being part of this community. I have loved teaching you and I am sure you will get the best out of yourself. Greetings and see you next time! ”

“We have reached the end and I thank you for taking my course. I hope you liked it and it gave you tools. so that you continue to fall in love with letters and continue experimenting. For me, it has been a learning process as well. I'll give you a reminder of the steps you have to follow to do your final project. To start, look for references and create a mood board that helps you define shapes, colors and textures. Then sketch each of the three projects, testing until you are happy with the result. Digitize and vectorize in Illustrator so you can then transfer it to Cinema 4D and you can ex...”
