Another thing that is useful that I discovered recently is if you think some parts of this are too hard-edged or not hard-edged enough, instead of doing the whole Select and Mask or refine mask, a good thing to do that does a lot of the same things is to click on the layer mask and use the Blur tool or the Sharpen tool to soften things.
