“ Influences Now we'll look at my influences and the things that inspire me. Then we'll talk about what we'll learn in this course. One of my favourite artists is Saul Bass. There are a few different reasons why I love his work. One of them is the paired use of colour with lots of space, with like one or two colours in every piece of work. It manages to say so much in a really minimal way. The films that his work was based on are horror films. There's some really scary stuff but yet the work is really playful. Dani Molyneux
A course by Dani Molyneux
Dani Molyneux is a graphic designer and typographic artist based in Manchester, England. She grew up with a pencil and sketchbook in hand and originally wanted to be a fashion designer. During textile class in school, she began experimenting with drawing and painting before being introduced to graphic design by her tutor. Dani studied visual communications at Leeds Art University, where she experimented with a variety of different creative disciplines. After graduating, she worked as a designer for leading creative agencies across the UK before going freelance after the birth of her daughter.
In 2017, Dani started her brand Dotto with the aim of making meaningful artwork. She was also the co-founder of Ladies, Wine & Design Manchester, which supports female creatives, as well as The How, which helps bring artists together in response to the pandemic.
