Before saying goodbye, I would like to do a quick summary of the steps you need to take to achieve your Final Project; even though you work on the same Project as I, be sure to add your unique essence to it. First, choose the scene you want to paint, take photos and decide on the reference image that makes you the happiest. Then, print out the image in A3 and prepare for painting.

Draw in pencil and only transfer the primary lines and shapes to the watercolour paper. Keep it as simple as possible! Decide which areas you want to keep as white paper; protect these areas with masking fluid or pieces of masking tape. When the masking is dry, mix your first washes and work light to dark over all the paper. While wet, work wet into wet and start to develop the textures. When the first washes are dry, commence multi-layering (layers two, three, then four if necessary) to achieve rich colours. Work on details and shadow areas. Define the forms. Remove all masking and work the painting to a finish adding any final glazes and details. Let paint dry, put a mounting or mat around the picture and admire your masterpiece!
