Nati Dorado, or Virreinata, starts the course by talking you through her professional career to date, her main influences from before she devised the 2D amigurumi concept, and some that continue to inspire her work today.
Next, have a look at a comparison between your teacher's technique and the traditional Japanese one, as well as the materials needed for your final project. Discover the creative process and how to transform the initial design into a diagram that serves as your stitching guide.
Now it's time to make your doll! Learn how to do the base chain stitch and shape out the body and legs using basic stitches. Work through assembling the various parts and filling your amigurumi, then sew on beads for the eyes.
Add an extra helping of personality by embroidering some fun details. Virreinata shows you the technique she uses to give a unique twist to each of her creations by repeating and combining just two movements.
