About the final project for: Designing, Cutting, and Making One-Size Garments

Designing, Cutting, and Making One-Size Garments

“Your final project should be simple, but in sewing the rush doesn't work, so take your time and enjoy. As I have explained, you can use different types of fabric. I recommend that you do it with one that is not very expensive, but that you love it. Working with fabrics that we like always encourages and makes the process more enjoyable. Anyway, in the next overalls you make, you can try new fabrics. Next, we are going to review the key phases of the project. It would be great if you showed me a picture of each phase and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. Choice of fabric The first step is to choose the fabric that you are going to use. I have chosen a pointed fabric to make my jumpsuit.

Pattern Next, it's time to print, join and cut the 3 patterns on paper. Remember that I left them as downloadable resources in Unit 2 of the course.
Cutting the fabric With the pattern ready, I have cut the fabric using the patterns on paper that I pinned to the fabric. As we saw in Unit 3, you will have to cut the body of the garment and the pants.
Confection First, I have joined the three pieces of the monkey's body. Afterwards, I have sewn the pants of the jumpsuit in 4 steps. In Unit 4 you can review the whole process.
Union of the parts of the garment Finally, I have joined the body with trousers by adding the strap for the waistband through which to put the elastic.
Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result of your garment and the steps that have led you to it. I would love to see your final project, I am sure you will surprise me! In addition, I want to invite you to participate in the forum and see the work that your colleagues have done, even give them advice. See you on the forum! ”
