About the final project for: Introduction to Colorful Patterned Ceramics

Introduction to Colorful Patterned Ceramics

“We have come to the end of the course. Thank you for having accompanied me! Hope you have taken a liking to it and feel comfortable creating your own ceramic vase. Now is the time to prepare your final project. I encourage you to make your own creation, taking the time to seek inspiration and find the colors you like. To help you, I leave you a summary of the different steps to follow below. Take care to document all the stages of your creation. I would like to see it in the presentation of your project. It will also allow me to better assist you if you have any questions. The sketch Start by sketching your project on a notebook. You can try several designs until you are satisfied with the shape of your ceramic.

The modeling Model the different parts with the techniques I have taught you and assemble these parts carefully. You can completely personalize your project by slightly varying the size or shape of the ears, or by making handles. Now that you know how to put several parts of the same object together, the possibilities are endless!
Painting Let your ceramic dry and smooth with the sponges. You can then paint your project with the engobes. If you are hesitant to get started, you can draw with a pencil on the ground. The pencil lines will burn in the oven.
Cooking and enamelling Bake your piece in a ceramic oven. Enamel your piece and bake it a second time in a ceramic oven to complete your creation.
Staging How will you use your new vase? Are you going to put flowers on it or use it on its own as a decoration? Stage it and show us how it brings life to your space.
If this is your first time working with ceramics, well done! I can't wait to see what you have created. Don't forget to share your final project with the community. For my part, I will answer your posts and questions as soon as possible. Also, I encourage you to watch what your comrades have been up to and to comment on their posts. Your opinions matter just as much as mine! Thank you for taking this course. See you soon on the forum !”

“Final project Thank you very much for taking my course. I hope you liked and inspired you. Ceramics can seem like a slow process, but the joy will be even more intense when you have your final project in hand. And above all, you will improve and progress quickly. To make your project a success, really take the time you need at each step. At first we have to go slow to learn the gestures. Everything seems slow and laborious to us, but little by little, the gestures will eventually become automatic. Everywhere on social networks, we are exposed to time-lapse videos of people making ceramics a...”
