Begin by getting to know photographer Tibor Galamb. He talks you through his unconventional journey to becoming a full-time creative and discusses the influences which have inspired his career as a professional advertising photographer.

Get an introduction to both product photography for advertising and Tibor’s creative process. Then dive into the brief for this course before exploring the basics of photography, shadow, and light. Discover the importance of color, and how to combine it with composition and direction for professional-looking photography. Define your concept and create a mood board for inspiration before looking at the materials and equipment needed for your shoot.

Create the set for your first image before beginning to shoot, exploring things like angles, framing, lighting, and props. Then do the same for your second photo, experimenting with different techniques for an alternative end result. Tibor then takes you through creating a frame animation.

Select your favorite images from the shoots and edit them in Photoshop along with your frame animation. Tibor shares his tips for choosing your best photos and retouching them. To finish the course, he delves into promoting your work and attracting clients as a photographer.

Tibor Galamb is a freelance photographer from Hungary who specializes in photography for the advertising industry. Whilst studying engineering in Budapest, he began working part-time in the film industry, which kick-started his love for photography and videography. He later went on to study photography at Stephenson College in Edinburgh Colleges, where he honed his skills and first considered it as a career option.

Since graduating, Tibor has worked with numerous advertising agencies, as well as for clients including Volkswagen and Red Bull. His work has been featured in different creative magazines and galleries around the world, and he’s also won photography awards, including Silver in the WPE International Photography Award 2021.
