About the final project for: Interior Styling: Design Personalized Spaces

Interior Styling: Design Personalized Spaces

“Welcome to the "Final Project" section and thank you so much for taking this course with me. I hope that you enjoyed all our classes as much as I did! I am now going to show you how to share each step of your final project with the whole community. Start by developing your own style through referencing existing ones and using the questionnaire to figure out what really works for you. Share your thoughts and the name of your own style with the community. Then, create a mood board for the room you chose to work with.

Use Roomstyler to work out your aesthetic, your pieces, and how to measure and use the space.
Now, it's time to put your planning into action by styling a room. Start with choosing a hero piece (from your mood board ideas) and then add accessories and colours around it.
Once you are done with the previous steps, incorporate a working space, so this area is comfortable, attractive, and importantly, multi-functional.
With the structure of our room in place, you can now add art and styled vignettes to make the room more beautiful and personal to you. Style any flat surface too. Do not forget that every stage has to be thought out in order to tie in the shapes, colours, and patterns of the room into one cohesive look.
Lastly, get your room ready to take a picture of your final result. Save the photo and edit it according to your style and the feelings you want to convey.
... And you are done! I am so excited to see on the forum the rooms that you styled. I’ll be sure to let you know my thoughts when I can, though please remember that I’m often busy with ongoing projects. It’s also really important to share your work with other students, friends, and artists as giving and receiving feedback is a great way of testing the impact of your work. You can use the hashtag #DeeCamplingDomestika on Instagram to share your interior with the whole world. This will also allow you to put into practice all the tips and tricks I gave you in Unit 4! Don't forget to comment on other people's work on the forum and give constructive feedback to help them improve. Thank you so much again for taking the time to come on this course with me and I wish you all the best in everything!”

“Final Project In this video, I'll discuss the final project and how to bring your style to it. Thank you for doing the course. I enjoyed teaching you and I hope you've learned from it. In this course, we started working out what our interior style is by looking at the main interior styles and taking out our favourite elements. We then worked out how to do a mood board, take it into Roomstyler and lay the room out. Then, we got to the fun part, bringing the vision to life in a final project based on my interior style. I started by adding my hero piece and accessories around it. We learned ho...”
