Draw your patterns as you like: digitally, in pencil, with watercolors, or whatever suits you best. To create a collection, you will need at least 4 or 5 in harmony with each other in composition and shapes. Scan the black and white patterns first to try them out on mockups and see if they work in terms of weights and sizes. Then, you can color them!
