Daniel Romero / Tuux
A course by Daniel Romero / Tuux
Daniel Romero is a Mexican industrial designer and one of the founding partners of Tuux, a design studio focused on sustainable and socially responsible projects that align with their work philosophy. Their work spans a range of fields including consumer products, interior design, architecture, urban intervention, and exhibitions.
In addition to his role at Tuux, he is a partner and jury member at the Abierto Mexicano de diseño competition, professor of the design, furniture, and ergonomics workshop at the CIDI (UNAM), and founder and designer of Hecho y Derecho, an online sales platform for furniture and accessories. On top of it all, he also collaborates on projects for other companies as a freelancer.
His work, both individually and through his studio, has earned numerous awards, most notably: winner of 2019 Red Dot Design Award (Germany), a spot on the list of the 100 most important Mexican creatives in the world (Forbes Magazine, Mexico), as well as winner and runner-up at three Ibero-American Design Biennials (Madrid 2014, 2016, and 2018).
