About the final project for: Abstract Portraiture with Photoshop and After Effects

Abstract Portraiture with Photoshop and After Effects

“We have reached the end of this course. I hope that now you are well equipped to create your scenes. Now it's time for you to show me what you have been working on during the course. But before that, let's recap the main steps to follow. First of all, you need to find some image resources: three portraits and some colorful nebulas. I showed you how to create gradients and patterns that you will use as background images. Start editing the colors of the first portrait by using adjustment layers. Use some Photoshop tools like the Stamp tool to distort the shape of the face and make it more abstract.

Start creating the second portrait by applying everything that you have learned to develop the first portrait. Then, export the portrait image as a PNG. Continue editing the portrait in After Effects by learning how to use the plugin that we downloaded. You will also use some After Effects effects to make some final adjustments. After you export the image as a PNG ( with transparent background ) from AE, now you can finalize it PS by adding a background and making some final color adjustments.
Start creating the third portrait by learning how to create PS actions. You will create six actions and use them to create 12 variations of portrait styles in Photoshop. Export 12 variations or more as a PNG sequence and, based on that, create an animation in After Effects. Finally, you can apply some adjustment layers using glow effect or HLS adjustment and export it in different formats like MP4 or MOV.
I can't wait to see what you have created. Please share your portraits with the rest of the community by clicking on the "Create your project above." I also encourage you to provide feedback to and comment on your classmates' work. There's a lot we can learn from each other! I'll try to check the forum and reply to all your queries, but please be patient if it takes me a while. I'll probably be busy working on my projects. Thank you for taking this journey with me, and keep creating! ”
