About the final project for: Designing 3D Chrome Letters in Procreate

Designing 3D Chrome Letters in Procreate

“Thank you so much for taking part in this course and I hope you've enjoyed it. It's now time to work on your project. This could mean finishing the lettering piece you started by completing the course tasks or making a brand-new project! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell us if you have any doubts. This will help me guide you better if you need advice. Here are the main steps to follow: The Mood Board Create your mood board. Make sure to include reference images for your colour palette, script letters, and other visual effects that you may want to include in your final artwork.

The Sketch Sketch out your chosen word and transfer it to Procreate. Work with a pencil brush just to create the skeleton of the letters first. Then, create a new layer to add some weight to the letters.
The Final Outline After that, it is time to create the final outline and refine the shape of the letters. You can also create a brushstroke around your main shape.
The 3D Effect Once the outline is done, start adding colour and volume by including highlights and shadows. Keep your mood board close to hand in case you need to go back to your references for creating the details. Don't forget to include some reflections of the letters in the background and the other way around.
The Final Touches Finally, add some sparks to the letters, flatten the layers of the image (remember to keep a duplicate of your artwork with the layers) and use the noise effect tool to give your artwork a vintage look.
And that's all! I can't wait to see what you've come up with. You can share your work with us so by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final result and the steps that have led you to them. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I will be more than happy to answer any of the questions you might have along the way! I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, participate in the forum, comment on others' work, and interact with the community. See you there! ”

“ Final Project Hi there, welcome to the final video of this course. I'd like to thank you for joining me all the way here. I started drawing letters and designing logos even before I knew what it was called. In this course, I wanted to share with you the tips and tricks I've learned in my lettering journey. For the final project, I want you to create your own retro script word with a 3D chrome effect. I want to see your take on this project, so please let your imagination flow and share your vision with the community. For that, the first step was to create a mood board. When doing so, plea...”
