Good course, it challenged some of my preconceptions and I gained new ideas and insights.

My key takeaway, explained beautifully by Federica: A data visualisation does not have to be very simple and immediately clear to the reader. It can be “read” in layers, with the reader taking their time to explore the visualisation, guided by the clear legend and mindful design choices. I also appreciated the focus on the ethical aspects of the work and the frequent tips and tricks.

This is a well rounded course that really shows how to use data to create beautiful visualizations. I really enjoyed discovering the artistic process that goes beyond the classic, flat, data visualisations obtained with traditional programming languages. Definitely recommend.
