Emotive Photography: Create Real, Up-close Images

“We have now reached the end of the course, but, before saying goodbye, I would like to invite you to relive my creative process. That you search within yourself until you reach the idea you want to express. And that, once you have it clear, experiment, play, try ... To shoot your photos without limits and without fear and then share them on the forum. I will love seeing them and they are sure to inspire the entire community. Now we are going to review the development phases of the final project, so that they serve as inspiration and as a reference when sharing yours: Concept and references The first step is the search for ideas. I focused on what moves me; what excites me. I worked from there to get to the concept.

Later, we have to look for images and words that help us lower that concept to the ground. For that I usually use tools like Pinterest and the notebook. Although I also walk, visit museums, read, listen to music or go to the movies. It is vital to give our head good food.
Photo session Taking advantage of the experience gained during the course on finding our voice and the importance of storytelling, it is time for the photoshoot. Work on experimentation, because playing and testing is always important. In the shooting I focused on detail, shadow and self-portrait photos. Remember that it is essential that the person who is going to accompany us in the photo session feels comfortable. Talk, ask, listen, put on music, try to read their non-verbal communication.
Editing and publishing of the photos Once all the photos have been taken, select your favorites and edit them. I used Snapseed and VSCO to adjust some values. This is my photos:
Finally, write the texts that will accompany the images on social networks with the concepts that I taught you in Unit 5. Remember to share both the final result of your photos and the steps that have led you to them. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. So I can give you feedback. I also want to invite you to actively participate in the forum, both sharing your progress and giving advice and trying to help the rest of the community. It is sure to be very enriching for everyone! And up to here. I hope you enjoyed this course as much as I did doing it. I will love to see your projects in the forum and know the stories you want to tell. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. See you on the forum! ”
