Creative Watercolor Sketching for Beginners

Laura McKendry is simply one of the best art teachers. Even though I've used watercolor for nearly 30 years, she was able to make this class for beginners instructive and interesting and fun. I learned a lot about watercolors, and a fresh, imaginative approach to keeping a sketchbook too.

Nice tutorials, interesting exercises, great resources allowing to go further. A very playful course developing your creativity !

This course was invaluable, coming at just the right moment in my creative journey. Over the winter I intend to go through it again, with a sketchbook geared more towards my professional portfolio, which may serve as part of a gallery show in the spring. I look forward to continuing to learn with exceptional instruction from Laura McEndry, who makes the lessons so fun!

I'm really new to watercolour, so it has been a lot of fun to experiment with. Laura is a great teacher showing us all the different methods until we found the one that we enjoy doing.

This is my second course of Laura’s. She is always very clear and makes sure you know nothing is written in stone. She encourages her students to make watercolor painting their own. I will always sign up for any course of Laura’s!

This class has some good exercises to kickstart your sketchbook habit!

I simply love Laura's course. Everything is so well explained and unlock your creativity and precise the techniques at the same time. I can even see some progress in my sketchbook!

It is a clear and concise course and I would recommend it to others

Laura is a focussed and organised teacher. Nothing is too simple for her to address her processes out aloud. The camera work is excellent, focussing as it does on brush strokes. She always seems absorbed as she demonstrates the activities. This is juat the cousrse to address the nagging sense of having missed out somewhere during the schooling process because you travelled in the non-creative stream (aka academic). So pleased I enrolled!

this course is amazing! Laura is such an inspiration. She'll help you to push on your creativity button and before you know, You will have a full sketchbook with colorful illustrations. I felt like a kid again when I made a collage:) highly recommend this course.
