Stumpwork Embroidery: Create 3D Ornaments
“So, that was all for the process of the course. I am very happy that you took this course. It was so exciting for me to teach you about embroidering flowers, a passion of mine. Now that you have all the tools to make 3D embroidery designs, I want you to do the following for your final project: pick your favorite flowers, using any or all of the techniques I taught you throughout the process. Attach the flower to your handbag, your jewelry, your clothes. Or mount it up to a frame. Please include all the steps you take in the process as well as the final result of the project. Both are equally important. Now, before I say goodbye, let’s go over the process once more. First of all, decide on the materials for your project. You're gonna prepare hoops, fabrics, scissors, threads, wires, and markers. And optional materials: printer, tweezers, pliers, tapes, jewelry findings, etc. Practice the stitches for the project. Straight stitches and french knots in this course. Wrap the wires while stitching. And you have to keep the stitches close to each other to make sure it is easier for the next step. Cut the embroidery off. Assemble the parts. Make your art piece any other form you want. You can also use different materials like stitch with silk threads. Please use the hashtag when submitting your work #ShanXuDomestika
