About the final project for: Mobile Photography for Interior Spaces

Mobile Photography for Interior Spaces

“We invite you to start your imagination and recreate a special space for you. It can be a reading corner, a bedroom area, a small living room ... Choose something different from our project to make it a challenge for you and obtain an incredible result. Don't forget to take a before and after photo. This is essential to realize everything we have learned throughout the course and you can visually compare it by observing each image. Now we are going to do a little review so that you can shape your final project and present it to the community: Definition of space After reviewing our aesthetic tastes, we have made a mood board that has helped us create and define what we want to represent in the space. We have chosen a workspace for a painter, but you can choose what you like the most.

Scene composition Once the space is defined, remember to remove the smallest details and elements and leave the larger objects that go in the space. We have left the table, the stool and the larger canvases. Next, we gradually incorporate the most interesting details such as sketches, brushes, paints, etc. We must take into account all the tips about the amount of objects and details that look good in the image. We will always give priority to the odd numbers and we will look for different volumes that provide textures and shapes. In addition, we must not forget the most important part: humanize and give life to the scene. With this we will see a radical change within a flatter image to another that will provide and transmit a lot of warmth. Take a look at how everyday items such as a glass of water or a piece of fruit have brought a lot of personality to our space. In the video lessons in Unit 3 you can see step by step how we carry out this part of the process.
Take the photo We already have the space almost ready, that means that we take action. We must pay close attention to light, I remember the tips we gave you about natural light lighting. As we have already mentioned before, it is possible that what we see on the mobile will change to what we have composed in real life. That is why we recommend that you move around the scene before shooting, only then can new angles and frames be discovered. The idea is that we enjoy trying and changing certain elements until we find the ideal result. With everything ready, we finally reached the moment of truth. It's time to click and shoot. We will do several shots until we find the right one. There is no set number of photos you should take. You can try as many times as you want. Also remember the tricks we gave you to have the mobile in the correct position and how we have activated the grid in the camera's viewfinder. You will notice a real change when taking the photos.
editing and final result During the course we have worked with the basic edition of the mobile parameters such as exposure, straightening the image or its saturation. By following all these parameters, you will achieve a professional finish. We have also tested the option of editing and retouching with different Apps such as VSCO and Touch Retouch. Applying everything you have learned, edit your photos to make them ready and share them with the community. This is how ours have been:
Do not forget to carefully observe the before and after. Comparing your initial photo with the edited photo of your final project will allow you to discover everything that you have learned and internalized in a natural way. Now share your final project with all of us by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both your final photos and the steps that have led you to them. It would be great if you showed an image of each step (the inspiration process, the construction of your scene ...) and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. So we can give you feedback. If you need our help, you know that you can count on us in the forum to solve your doubts and accompany you in the final process of your creation. We also invite you to interact with the community, we sure have a lot to contribute to each other. We are looking forward to seeing your progress. Get down to business and do something amazing! ”

“Final project We reached the end of the road. We hope you like the course as we will be your teachers. It is time to put into practice what you have learned for your project. We will go over all the steps to guide you through your process. Don't forget to find your own identity first. You can create a mood board where you will dump your ideas and thus you will develop your tastes. When you know what space you will be working on, take a before and after photo to compare it at the end of the project. Once you have defined your space, do not forget to empty it as much as possible. Try to leave...”
