Worldbuilding: Discover the Fantasy Narrative
“The time has come for you to complete your final project. You've already done a good part of it: you've created support materials, you've rehearsed different parts of the craft. Remember to think of a genre that will serve as a basis for imagining something you want to tell. Choose an element to work with: a character, an environment or a time that could be used to create stories based on that genre. Write down and order everything you can think of about (and around) that element. Make as detailed a description as possible of the initial element. You will have a lot of information left over, which you can order and use to create other elements (more characters, more details of the environment, etc.). If you started with a character, it is advisable to have information on at least that one and one more; If your starting point is the environment or the weather, you may not have information about a specific character, but it is convenient to write something more general about different types of characters, jobs, social classes, etc. If you make supporting materials such as illustration, design, etc., or if you work with other people to make them, remember that those materials must be consistent with what you have written. If any of these steps are difficult for you, you can review the lessons of the course, where all the necessary information is offered to carry them out. You can also check out my own sample project, plus you can use the forum to ask any questions you have. By the way, something else you should remember is that your project does not have to resemble mine: on the contrary, it will be better the more it satisfies and interests you. To achieve this, remember that all the examples and details that you have seen throughout the course are just that: project content possibilities, but none conditions either the working method or the use of the different tools that I taught you. Give yourself the opportunity to be wrong! It is not your obligation to have everything done perfectly on the first try. There will be part of what occurs to you that you must modify or eliminate outright, as you improve the consistency of the whole set. Experiment and take a chance! Do not forget to share your final project in the forum, so I can give you feedback, be patient, since it may take a while to respond, but while you can read the projects of your colleagues. Remember that if in addition to the forum, you decide to share your project on your social networks, then you must use the hashtag #AlbertoChimalDomestika so that I can see your publication. See you soon on the forum.”

“Final project With this video we come to the end of our course. After what we have seen in the lessons, you have the necessary knowledge to create your fictional world and give it shape and meaning through a guide document. Once completed, this guide will serve you to create as many stories set in that world as you want. There is something important that I must tell you, the examples we have seen relate to my own project and with certain ideas that interest me and that give rise to it, but this is only because that way I could introduce you the complete consistent development of a fictional...”
