About the final project for: Creative Web Design: Planning and Coding from Scratch

Creative Web Design: Planning and Coding from Scratch

“We've now reached the end of the course. Thank you for joining us and sticking with us this far! There's been a lot of information to take on board, so we hope you're feeling proud of how far you've come. We'll sum up the most important points to consider when working on your final project, but should there be anything you need to look over again in more depth, you can always skip back to the previous lessons. You now have all the tools you need to design and build a simple, interactive website. To do so, remember to not skip the first step of gathering ideas and references. It might be tempting, but going the extra mile will really help you later on, as it will make deciding on what the website needs to do much easier.

Once you have a vision of your website and who's going to be using it, it's time to design a prototype. Using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, go ahead and write the code for your website.
Once you're done, it's time to put your website online and go live. Don't worry about any issues that it might have at this point―you will be testing it and fixing bugs as you go.
Should there be anything that you're stuck on, go ahead and ask us your questions in the forum. We're here to help, but don't worry should we not reply straight away. In the meantime, we are sure that your coursemates will be there to help, too. It's great to be able to get a range of different voices! Likewise, if you can help a coursemate, don't hesitate―it's only going to strengthen your own understanding. Of course, we would also love to see your final website in the forum! Upload it by clicking on the button "Create your project" further up. Additionally, you can share your hard work on social media using the hashtag #DXRZoneDomestika! Once you feel reasonably comfortable with the steps we've been going through in this course, use what you've learned as a foundation to carry on building your knowledge. Remember that no one knows everything and that even the most experienced creative technologists are still learning all the time! Again, thank you so much for your active participation and engagement. Talk to you in the forum!”
