About the final project for: Lifestyle and Travel Photography

Lifestyle and Travel Photography

“We have reached the end of the course, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have. Now you are ready to start your project and tell your story! You don’t have to travel far away. Work with what’s around you, explore your home town in a new way or go for a hike! A little recap; remember planning is essential. The more prepared you are the easier it will be on the shooting day. Create a mood board, scout for locations, and make a shooting plan. Once you are ready, bring a friend if you need a model, and play around with composition, light and your lenses and see how they can help you build a story. Have fun, be creative! Also analyze why you like it and tell me more about the technical aspect of it. Make sure you manage your data wisely and select and edit your pictures to get the best out of them. Last but not least, create a great portfolio and keep it up to date so you can reach out to clients effectively and use Instagram and social media to share your work! You can share your project on Instagram using the hashtag #JuliaNimkeDomestika. My set of images for Madrid is now ready and I am looking forward to seeing your images in the forum! I will give you as much feedback as possible, and I encourage you to interact with other students in the community.

Thank you once again and see you soon!”

Before you go out, remember that pre-production is key. You want to have the least stress as possible on your shooting day. So make sure that you have a mood board, you've gotten some inspiration of the places you want to check out, and also did a shooting plan. Also, r...”
