A course by Louise Lockhart
Louise Lockhart is an illustrator from the UK. After studying illustration at the Glasgow School of Art in 2009 and finding it difficult to find work, she decided to pave her own way as an illustrator. After a few years of travelling the world, she started The Printed Peanut in 2012, her online store where she sells products with her illustrations. Her products have attracted the attention of over 200K Instagram followers.
The Printed Peanut started out selling stationery items inspired by retro children’s books and vintage print ephemera. Following the brand’s success, she quickly expanded her product range to include everything from homeware, cards, toys, games and decorations. Louise has collaborated with clients such as Heal's, Casetify, Boden, Blue Q, Anthropologie, Design For Today, M&S and Liberty. Her work has also been featured in publications like Bibelot Magazine, The Independent, Chronicle Books, Ladybird Books, and Flow Magazine. She has also illustrated a series of children’s books including The Dictionary of Difficult Words, The Encyclopedia of Unbelievable Facts, and The Big Book of the UK.

I absolutely love Louise Lockhart and The Printed Peanut! I think this class was very helpful and I'm really grateful that I got to take it. I really hope that one day I can make something with such a lovely style and have the same dedication that she puts into her products.

PlusI appreciate how Louise's covered each step she's found useful in her own practice in a way that we can engage with and put to immediate use.
Her pace moves along briskly enough that I never felt the desire to fast forwarding and yet her directions and information never feel rushed.
Louise's enthusiasm for her art and sharing her work feels sincere and it was a pleasure to spend time with her through this course.
I had a fun time as well and I definitely recommend Louise and her course!
