“From Sketch to Grid In this lesson, I'll tell you about the grid. The grid is the support we use to work our pattern. We will trace our final sketch to the grid and make it into a pattern. The grid is made up by geometric shapes. I use squares because they're very similar to the shape of the stitch I use in Fabric, single crochet cross stitch. I have a set of numbers on my grid on the bottom, on the top and on the sides.
