About the final project for: Self-Portrait Photography: Explore Color and Light

Artistic Use of Colour and Composition in Photography

“Thank you so much for taking part in this course and I hope you've enjoyed it. It's now time to work on your project. This could mean finishing the photos you started by completing the course tasks or making a brand-new project! Either way, I strongly suggest you take the time to gather inspiration and make a unique project of your own. Make sure to keep track of your progress with different pictures of each step. It'd be great if you could also explain the choices you've made along the way and tell us if you have any doubts. This will help me guide you better if you need advice. Here are some final tips to guide you on your journey: Getting Inspired First, you need to get your creative juices flowing. Try to draw inspiration from your feelings, experiences or something that is important to you. Big or small, all things can be good sources of inspiration. If you feel stuck, do something that you know evokes your feelings. Talk to someone who inspires you or look at works from your favorite artists. The Mood Board Make a mood board to gather all your inspiration and ideas for the photos you want to make. This is a great tool to have because you will have all your thoughts in one place that you can refer back to at any time.

Equipment and Materials Now that you're familiar with the photos you want to create, you need to find out how you're going to create them and what materials you need to make your vision come to life. Find your equipment and the props you would like to use in your photos. Setting the Scene After finding your equipment and materials, you need to set up your scene. Maybe your scene is already prepared and you only need to set up your camera. Or, you can create your own set with a background and different lamps.
When it's all ready, it’s time to start shooting your photos. Experiment with angles and change things up as you go. Take your time and have fun!
Editing Your Photos Once you've captured your photos and feel happy with the results, edit them. You can use any program that you feel comfortable with, on your computer or phone. Maybe you're happy with how the photos look straight from the camera. That's good too!
I can't wait to see what you've come up with. You can share your work with us so by clicking on "Create your project". Remember to share both the final results and the steps that have led you to them. It would be great if you showed a picture of each step and added a brief explanation about what you have done in each one. I will be more than happy to answer any of the questions you might have along the way! I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, participate in the forum, comment on others' work, and interact with the community. See you there! ”

“ Final Project Thank you so much for taking my course. I hope you learned something new and it inspired you. Let's remember what we did in the course. The first thing we did was to get inspired. I encourage you to try to get connected with your feelings. But if you feel stuck, I suggest that you do something that you love. Like you can go for a walk or listen to music or even watch a movie. Next we made a mood board. Remember to write down your ideas and find pictures that you feel express your thoughts. Now we're ready to get the equipment and material. Remember, you don't have to have a ...”
