Layered Illustration with Felt
“We have reached the end of the course! I want to thank you so much for accompanying the classes so far. Now you can make your final project with everything you've learned. Here are some steps that we saw during the classes and that can be useful when making your project: • Choose the theme of your illustration and look for reference images of the elements you want to represent. • Draw each element separately, simplify the strokes by styling the design, and then experiment with their compositions together. • Set the color palette adapted to the felt scale. • Think about the relationship of the layers and their heights and create the patterns to cut out. • Cut out all the patterns and reassemble the illustration adjusting as you see fit. • Finally, glue all the elements together and wait for them to dry. If you want, make the finishing treatment with thermoline to better preserve your work. You can present your project by showing some steps in the process and photos of your entire illustration or in detail. Here's an example: Cutouts
