Coralí Lecca tells you a little bit about herself and her relationship with ceramics as a child. She also talks about all the twists and turns her life took before finally deciding to dedicate herself to transforming clay into timeless ceramic pieces.

Take a look at everything you need to get started, from tools and materials to terminology and the basic techniques. Explore colors and kneading before creating some samples with your marbled clay.

Discover all that marbled clay has to offer. Coralí teaches you how to achieve the marbled effect mixing two or three colors and how to use the kneading process to create different sized streaks.

Recreate your favorite sample adding more clay bit by bit to achieve the desired colors and marbled effect for your piece. Form the slabs to make your three pieces from and prepare the templates for each individual component.

Now it's time to bring your tableware to life, starting with the bowl, followed by the mug, and finishing up with the jug. Coralí shows you how to make the pieces your own with the finishing touches: small dents and distortions, carvings, embossing, and wherever your imagination takes you.

What is this course's project?

Produce a 3-piece jug, mug, and bowl collection using the marbling technique.

Who is this online course for?

Anyone wanting to learn about manual clay molding techniques in general, especially the marbled effect.

Coralí Lecca Céspedes

From the moment she was born, Coralí Lecca Céspedes was surrounded by the clay, pigments, and glazes of her mother's ceramic workshop. Despite this, she decided to study sound engineering and worked as video and animations for more than 10 years. It wasn't until 2014 that she began collaborating with her mother. She also started her Instagram account @Coraceramics as a blog exploring the world of clay and everything it has to offer.

After working in her family workshop for some time she decided to set up her own, start a brand, and put together a team. Coraceramics came to be out of a love for both ceramics and family, from a fascination that awakens the imagination and leads to the creation of pieces that will stand the test of time.
